The Process
THE PROCESS- Prior to 1st treatment, New patients are assessed extensively, testing strength and range of motion for almost every major muscle group (please wear comfortable stretchy clothing). A extensive past medical history is taken along with current complaints. New patients have to be accepted as a patient, meaning if massage is contraindicated you may be temporarily turned away if massage my worsen your condition. Blood Clot (DVT, acute phlebitis)
Pregnancy within 1st trimester
Impaired kidney or liver function
Cancer (unless doctor approval)
Uncontrolled hypertension
Acute stage of operation, fracture, tendon or muscle tear (inflammation)
Altered state of cognitive awareness (due to drug, alcohol, over the counter medication, prescription drugs, or other substances)
Reasons for local avoidance ( areas might be skipped during the massage)
